Anna Mary Gabbert of Bedford, IN, died Tuesday, December 7, 1999, at the Westview Nursing and Rehab Center. Born on July 31, 1911, in Tunnelton, IN, she was the daughter of Thomas J. and Myrtle (Jean) Faris. She married Charles E. Gabbert on April 11, 1936, and he died December 13, 1992.

Surviving are one daughter, Monta Maddox of Bedford, IN; five sisters: Izillah Bush, Nona Haley, Kathryn Wade, and Virginia Bennett, all of Buddha, IN, and Barbara Sallee of Bedford, IN; three grandsons and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one brother.

She retired from General Motors Powertrain in 1974 and was a member of Tunnelton United Methodist Church and United Auto Workers Local 440.

Services for Anna Gabbert will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 10th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with the Rev. Lindy Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
