Annalee L. "Mom" Slaughter, 75, died Sunday, July 22, 2007 at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital. Mrs. Slaughter was born in Lilydale, West Virginia May 22, 1932; was the daughter of the late Gerald and Bernice Pence Weikle and lived in the area since 1950. She enjoyed gardening and her flower gardens, and was a member of Mt. Alexander Methodist Church in Sarton, West Virginia. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Slaughter was preceded in death by her husband Clayton H. Slaughter, Sr., grandson John J. Tuttle, brothers Carlos Weikle and Palmer Weikle. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law Clayton H. and Juanita Slaughter, Jr. of Ashland, Shaun T. Slaughter of Mansfield; daughters and son-in-law Lona and Doug Hicks, Sr. of Danville, and Rhonda Brown of Chattanooga, Tennessee; grandchildren Ryan Slaughter, Doug Hicks, Joshua Hicks, Travis Slaughter, Clayton H. Slaughter, III, Shane Slaughter, Denise Tuttle, Nancy Bowles; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers Leon Weikle of Bellville, Benny and Gerald Weikle of Fredericktown; sisters Leveta Parker of Bellville, Barbara Morrison of Galion, and Thelma Ward of Marion. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 10:30 AM at Finefrock-Williams Funeral Home, 350 Marion Avenue with Pastor Merlyn E. Jones officiating. Burial will be at Mansfield Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday (TONIGHT) 6-8 PM.
