Mrs. Nellie Marie Payne Modesitt, 57 years old, died at 9:35 o'clock Monday night at the home of her sister, Mrs. A.M. White, 1223 North Tenth Street. Surviving are a son, Elmer K. Modesitt of the United States Navy; the mother, Mrs. Anna Payne of Terre Haute, and A.M. White, both of Terre Haute. The body was taken to the Thomas Funeral Home, from where funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Rev. R.C. Mowery will officiate and burial will be in Highland Lawn cemetery.
