Chicago Daily Tribune, 14 Jul 1936: Mother of Ben Pollack, Band Leader, Succumbs -- Mrs. Rebecca Pollack, 61 years old, 2000 Lincoln Park west, mother of Ben Pollack, an orchestra leader, died in her home yesterday of a heart attack. She suffered a stroke six months ago. Surviving are her husband, Hyman (sic), a furrier; a daughter, Mrs. Esther Gold, and two sons, Ben and Sam. Funeral services will be held today at 2 p. m. in the chapel at 704 South Pulaski road.
