Olive Roseanne Pennington Snider Strole, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend went on to await her loved ones in glory on Monday, August 25, 2003.

Visitation will be at Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale, Texas on Thursday, August 28, 2003 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Services will be at Swan Baptist Church on Friday, August 29, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. with Brother Abner Bryan officiating.

Olive was born in Lawrenceburg, TN on September 17, 1924 to Pauline and John Edward Pennington. She was raised in Alba, TX and was married in 1943 to James Grover Snider. She spent most of her life in Swan, TX as a homemaker, secretary of Snider Auto Repair in Lindale, and secretary of Swan Baptist Church. After the death of her first husband, James, Olive later married Richard Strole. They resided in Swan until moving to assisted living in Hawkins and then to Pine Valley Care Center in Mineola. Olive was a wonderful person full of love, compassion and faith. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

Olive was preceded in death by first husband, James Grover Snider, her parents Pauline and John E. Pennington, step-father J. R. Gray, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survivors include her husband of 11 years, Richard Strole; children, Bruce Snider and wife Judy of Rockwall, TX, Andra Evans and husband Fred of Benbrook, TX, and Dexter Snider and wife Sherry of Nashville, TN; step-daughters, Zena Strole of Abilene, TX and Kathy Harris of Swan, TX; step-sons, Mark and Ricky Strole; grandchildren, Scott, Lainee, Alexandria, Blaine, Caleb, Cindy, Christy, Cathy, Michael, and Mersaydies; great-granddaughters, Cameron, Marie, and Alexandra; sisters, Vonnie Eads and Vada Caldwell, and a host of other family and friends.
