Clarion E. HUNTER, 79, Rt. 1, Silver Lake, died at 2:10 a.m. today in Woodlawn Hospital. He had been ill five days. He was born Dec. 19, 1904 in Pulaski County to David and Lillie GOOD HUNTER. He lived most of his life in the Akron area. He was married Aug. 4, 1928 in Fulton County to Emma M. THOMPSON, who died in 1967. He was a retired farmer and carpenter and was a member of the Disko United Methodist Church. Surviving are the mother, Lillie HUNTER, Rochester; two daughters, Mrs. Sam (Beverly) WOODARD and Mrs. Loyle (Bonnie) KARNS, both of Kokomo; a son, John D [HUNTER], Roann; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Melvin [HUNTER], Rochester, and Clurel [HUNTER], Kewanna, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers and two sons. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Foster & Good Funeral Home, 808 E. Rochester St., Akron, with the Rev. Lowell BURRIS officiating. Burial will be in the Akron I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday.
