FORDYCE - Funeral services for Mrs. J.W. Albers, 57, who died at her home here Saturday morning after an illness of six weeks, were held from St. John the Baptist church at 8 o'clock Monday morning. Rev. Peter Vanderlaah officiated. Burial was made in the parish cemetery under the direction of Wintz Mortuary.
Pallbearers were six brothers, Edward, William, Joseph, Anthony, Albert and Arthur Wiebelhaus. Honorary pallbearers were Mrs. John Dickes, Mrs.
William Rothluebber, Mrs. Mike Koch, Mrs. Leo Koch, Mrs. Frank Buschelman and Mrs. J.J. Buschelman.
Emma Mary, daughter of Herman and Wilhelminia Wiebelhaus, was born February 8, 1887 at Fordyce.
She made her home at Fordyce until 1901 when she went to Cowlitz, Wash. While living there she was united in marriage with J.W. Albers November
18, 1902. They returned to Fordyce in 1903 and lived on a farm until 1945 when they moved into town.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist church and of the Christian Mothers.
She is survived by her husband; four sons, William H. of Hartington, and Louis, Ralph and Roman of Fordyce; five daughters, Mrs. Mike (Alma)Schaefer, and Mrs. Albin (Freda) Jurgens of Fordyce, Mrs. Juke (Helen) Feilmeier of Hartington, Mrs. Emil (Vera) Loecker and Mrs. Joe (Rita) Kast of Fordyce; seven brothers, Louis and Edward Wiebelhaus of Hartington, William Wiebelhaus of Fordyce, Joseph Wiebelhaus of Battle Creek, Anthony of Wynot, and Albert and Arthur Wiebelhaus of Fordyce; two sisters, Mrs. Fredolin (Rosina) Lammers of Fordyce and Mrs. Bill(Anna) Reiners of Wayne; and 27 grandchildren.
Those from a distance in attendance at the funeral were: Frank Schaefer of Pickatown, S.D., Mr. and Mrs. Harman Schaefer of Fairfax, S.D., Otto Schaefer of Burke, S.D., Louise Ertz of Butte, Leon Suing of Gregory, S.D., Mrs. Clarence Erickson of Winner, S.D., Mrs. William Reiners and son of Wayne, and Mrs. Ferdinand Wiebelhaus of Fairfax, S.D.
