Name orginially spelt "Corr". Youngest son of Jesse Corr & Adiah Shockley. Husband of Teresa Francis Fendly married 1880 Alabama.

Jesse moved his family from Anderson County, South Carolina to Corr's Beat, Pickens County, Alabama ca 1835. He was a charter member of the Hargrove Methodist Church in Gordo, Ala.

George and Teresa moved their family to Dide County, Miss. then to Angelina County, Texas ca 1891. This is where he changed the spelling of his name to Carr.

George and Theresa were the parents of five children: John Elmer, Emily Nettie, Olive, Minerva Lee and George Malone.
