Allen was a longtime Portage resident and a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Hobart.
He is survived by one aunt, Jane C. Yacko of Hobart, IN; cousins: Nicholas (Patricia) Yacko of Portage, IN, David (Marilena) Yacko of Frankfort, IL, Mark Yacko of Chicago, IL, Ted (Karen) Cieslak of IL, Carol (Dwayne) Durfee of Portage, IN, Joanne (Jerry) Rice of FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Helen Schweitzer and one uncle, Ted Cieslak.
Burial at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Schererville.
