Obituary (Burlington Free Press) MIDDLEBURY -- March 1 -- Joseph A. Booska, 57, died of a heart attack Sunday afternoon at his home on Case Street while burning brush. He was born in Bristol April 4, 1896, son of Peter and Mary Boardman Booska. He is a member of St. Mary's Church, Middlebury. From 1923 to 1939, he was night watchman for the Bristol Casket Company, and did some farming. For the past six years, he has been day policeman and second constable in Middlebury. He was a member of the State Patrolmen's association. He is survived by his wife, Delia (Patno) Booska, of Portland, Conn., three sons, Lawrence of Greenfield, Mass., Alfred of Southwick, Mass. and Donald of Portland, Conn., by a daughter, Mrs. Wilfred (Beatrice) Lacalaide, Portland, Conn., 10 grandchildren, 3 brothers, Peter, Benjamin and Benny Booska of Bristol, four sisters, Mrs. Clyde Baslow of Middlebury, Mrs. Oscar LaFrance and Mrs. Lester Rockwell of Bristol, and Mrs. Ralph Eddy of Farmington, Conn., an nieces and nephews. Mass will be said Wednesday morning at 9 at St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in Mt. St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol, in the family lot.
