Served in the U.S. Army-Air Force. Served North Western States Mission. Member Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Member Murray 2nd Ward bishopric. High Priest Grant 7th Ward.
Survived by wife; son, Sherman R. Nielsen and wife, Donna B.; grandchildren, Amy K., S. Robert, John J., April, Michael.
Funeral Saturday 12 noon at the Grant 7th Ward, 3487 So. 1300 East. Friends may call Friday 6 to 8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, and Saturday at the church one hour prior to service. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
