She was born May 24, 1945, in Winona. Mrs. Mitchell was a homemaker and a member of Reeds Chapel Baptist Church. She died March 30, 2009, at her home in Stewart.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry L. Mitchell of Stewart; two sons, Tim Mitchell of Eupora and Todd Mitchell of Stewart; a sister, Jackie Bond of Grenada; a brother, Fred Tierce Jr. of Stewart; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tracie Lynn Mitchell; and a brother, Lynn Tierce.
Pallbearers were Josh Buford, Mark Burns, Marvin Earl Corley, Barrow Davis, Irby Mitchell and Bobby Oliver.
