MABEL G. Mabel Goodwin Johnston, age 95 of Salem, died Saturday in a Roanoke hospital. She is survived by two daughters, Edith Marie Routten, Columbia, S.C.; Dorothy Anne Routh, Timonium, Md.; one brother, Leonard (Bill) Goodwin, Salem; four sisters, Lena Long, Elliston; Clara Kime, Ruth Gresham, both of Salem; Naomi Dent, Roanoke; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 16, 1992 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Thomas L. Joyce officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. THe family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday at the Lotz Salem Chapel.
