Birth/Baptism Fraktur from Mahoning Valley Historical Society Translation: "To these two married people, Simon Wehr, and his wife Salome, nee Jacob Peterin, a son was born on December 29 (possibly 20th?) of the year of the Lord 1817. This Nathan was born in Ostpen (East Penn) township in Northhampton County in the state of Pennsylvania in North America. He received, in Holy Christening, the name Nathan Wehr on April 30, 1818 by the Rev. Mr. Meansin, a Lutheran preacher. Witnesses of the Christening were: Michael Wehr and his wife Maria."

OBITUARY: Mahoning Dispatch, Fri, 25 Mar 1904
"Nathan Wehr, an aged and respected pioneer citizen, passed away at his residence Tuesday night at 1 o'clock. He was 86 years old. The cause of death was infirmities consequently upon old age. He leaves an aged wife, one daughter, Mrs. Jos. Harner, and one adopted daughter, Mrs. Luceria Clupper of East Perkins, two sons, Solomon of Indiana and Augustus of Warren, to mourn his loss. One son died several years ago. Funeral services were held from the Lutheran church Thursday afternoon with burial in the Union cemetery, Rev. Schaaf of Canfield officiating."
