THOMAS, REVEREND CHARLES V. (CHARLIE) - age 90 of Maynardville, passed away July 17, 2008. Charlie was a member of Luttrell Baptist Church, and J.C. Baker Lodge 720 F&AM. Preceded in death by: wife, Marion Thomas; son, Charles V. Thomas, Jr.; infant daughter, Martha Jo; parents, William and Martha Thomas; brothers, Jim, Fred, Frank, and Junior Thomas; sister, Agatha Haynes. He is survived by: sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Judy Thomas of Hudson, Florida, Lowell and Linda Thomas, Terry and Barbara Thomas; one daughter and son-in-law, Katy and Ted Seal all of Maynardville; brothers, Mack and Robert Thomas of Knoxville, Ford Thomas of Blaine, and John Thomas of Washburn, TN; 15 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives. Family will receive friends Saturday 6 to 8:00 p.m. with Masonic funeral to be held at 8:00 in the chapel at Cooke Mortuary. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Cooke. Reverend Roy Acuff and Reverend Clyde Beeler officiating. Music by Pennington Chapel Singers and Linda Nicely. Pallbearers will be grandsons, and great grandsons. Honorary pallbearers great grandsons. Interment in Big Barren Cemetery. Family will meet at the home of Katy and Ted Seal, 103 Nave Hill Rd., Maynardville, TN.
