Preceded in death by: wife, Marion Thomas; son, Charles V. Thomas, Jr.; infant daughter, Martha Jo; parents, William and Martha Thomas; brothers, Jim, Fred, Frank, and Junior Thomas; sister, Agatha Haynes. He is survived by: sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Judy Thomas of Hudson, Florida, Lowell and Linda Thomas, Terry and Barbara Thomas; one daughter and son-in-law, Katy and Ted Seal all of Maynardville; brothers, Mack and Robert Thomas of Knoxville, Ford Thomas of Blaine, and John Thomas of Washburn, TN; 15 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives. Family will receive friends Saturday 6 to 8:00 p.m. with Masonic funeral to be held at 8:00 in the chapel at Cooke Mortuary. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Cooke. Reverend Roy Acuff and Reverend Clyde Beeler officiating. Music by Pennington Chapel Singers and Linda Nicely. Pallbearers will be grandsons, and great grandsons.
