Obituary: Red Bluff Daily News - May 7, 1970, page 12:5: "Nellie Pedranti - CORNING - Mrs. Nellie C. Pedranti, 84, a long time Corning resident, died Tuesday afternoon at Mount Olivet Convalescent Hospital in Carmichael. She had been in failing health for several months.
Mrs. Pedranti had been a school teacher in Texas, completed nurses' training with a post graduate course in anesthesia in Washington, D.C., and was a licensed anesthetist. she moved to the Corning area in 1914. During World War One, she served in the Army Nurses' Corps, and was stationed at San Diego. Afterward, she was employed for several years in the office of the late Dr. Frank McCann, a Corning physician and surgeon. She was married to Thomas H. Jennings in May 1920. Following his death in 1956, she was wed some years later to E. A. Pedranti. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are her husband now residing in San Jose, a daughter, Mrs. Martha J. Davis of Sacramento, four brothers, Everett and Stanley Coryell, both of Corning, Ernest Coryell of El Sobrante, and Clifford Coryell of Riverbank.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Hall Brothers' Chapel, with the Rev. Kenneth Kern officiating.
Burial will be in the family plot in Sunset Hill Cemetery."
