From The Reading Eagle, Aug. 28, 1933:
William F. Hilbert, 108 Penn avenue, West Reading, died in the Reading Hospital at the age of 60 years, 4 months and 13 days. Death followed an illness of one week. He was a native of Maxatawny Township, a son of the late Obediah and Mary (Fegley) Hilbert. He was a well-known ice dealer, having been in this business the past 30 years.
Mr. Hilbert was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Bowers; Reading Lodge No. 62, F and A. M; Reading Consistory, 32d degree; Rajah Temple, A.A.O.N.M.S.; Keystone Hook and Ladder Co. No. 1, Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Reading Automobile Club.
His wife, Annie (Boger) Hilbert, preceded him in death. There survive two daughters, Jennie V. Hilbert and Beulah S. wife of Samuel Stetler, at home; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three sisters, Mamie, wife of Calvin Schock, Alburtis, Katie, wife of David Adams, and Amelia, wife of George Mellinger, both of Reading; three brothers, D. Harrison Hilbert, Allentown, Harvey B. and Sylvester O., Reading.
Internment in Bowers Cemetery.

Cause of death was Chronic myocarditis

Note: Death certificate has April 13, 1873 as his birth date, but the informant was a nurse in Reading Hospital, not a relative.
