Is Dead at 54

Lifetime Resident Is
Pneumonia Victim

Mrs. Emma Elsasser, 54, of 3708 North Twenty-first street, member of a pioneer Omaha family, died this morning at 7 at a local hospital after an illness of less than a week. She developed pneumonia.

Born in Omaha, she attended Lothrop school. She married Henning F. Elsasser, captain in the Nebraska national guard and an inspector for the United States bureau of animal industry, on June 6, 1906. Her husband died in 1932 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was sister-in-law of Peter E. Elsasser, jr., who died Friday night and whose funeral is being held today.

For the last year Mrs. Elsasser had been working with Helen Gauss at the South Omaha Social Settlement. She was a member of Maple Leaf Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors: Mother, Mrs. Henry Behrens; daughters, Mrs. Alberta Mullenix, Mrs. Helen Allen; son, Henning F.; five grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Walter Weeth; Mrs. Rudolph Barg, all of Omaha, brother Charles F. Busch of Burlingame, Cal.

The body is at Brailey and Dorrance Mortuary.
