"Mrs. Mary Rachael Edwards, 97, of 308 Bryan, died at 3:45 a.m. today (Feb. 24, 1966) at her home. She had been in ill health several years and bedfast one month. Mrs. Edwards had resided in Danville since 1928, coming here from Rossville.

Born December 28, 1868, in Rossville, she was a daughter of Charles and Agnes Louise Adams Glaze. Her schooling was in the Antioch neighborhood near Rossville.

She was married June 19, 1898, in Rossville to Alfred N. Edwards, who preceded her in death January 24, 1926.

Surviving are twin daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Faye) Zimmerman with whom she had made her home the past six years, and Mrs. Fern Swisher of Danville; two sisters, Mrs. Linnie McCluskey of Rossville and Mrs. Nellie Francis of Mission, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Edwards was a member of the Henning Methodist Church and was formerly active in the church Ladies Aid. Her hobbies were quilting and knitting.

Friends will be received at Pape Memorial Home 7-9 p.m. today and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kenneth Hayes officiating. Burial will be in Mann's Chapel Cemetery near Rossville."
