Ruth M. Black, age 92, passed away on April 16, 2009 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Ruth was born November 11, 1916 in Holladay, Utah to William and Emily Ruffell Forsyth.
She married Clifford V. Peck. They had three children, Terry, Annette, and Steve. Clifford preceded her in death. Ruth married Earl "Bud" Black. He preceded her in death.
Ruth was a nursery school teacher for 12 years. She taught Ballroom dancing in Salt Lake and Murray. Then she turned to handicrafts and sewing, making drapes, covered lampshades, comforters, and toaster covers. She was a wonderful, caring mother and will be greatly missed.
Survivors: children, Terry (Linda) Peck and Annette (Tom) Hansen; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son, Steve.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Avenue and "N" Street. There will be a viewing held on Monday evening, April 20, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at the Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street, Midvale
