Bio: Daughter of Samuel Shepardson and Anna Barney Shepardson. Wife of Joseph Barney, who was the son of James Barney and Thankful March Barney. Mother of Sophia A., Samuel O., Daniel A., Maria A., Elijah, Pliny, Samantha, and Lurancy Almeda Barney.

This may look a little confusing. Anna (maiden name Barney, parents John and Rebeeca Barney) married Samuel Shepardson. They had a daughter they named Anna Shepardson. Their daughter married Joseph Barney, son of James Barney and Thankful March Barney. That means there is a mother named Anna Barney Shepardson (1761-1852) and a daughter named Anna Shepardson Barney (1784-1876).
