Lethia Ellen Hodson was born October 5, 1835 near Hopedale in Tazewell County, Illinois, to Samuel Hodgson and Sarah "Sally" Sparrow Hodgson. She married James Cunningham, the son of Thomas Cunningham on December 14, 1857 in Tazewell County, Illinois.
Lethia and James had 10 children: Samuel, John, James William, Mary Ellen, Mahala Alice Haley, Emily Jane, Charles Thomas Tude, George Washington Tobe, Rose Leah and Henry.
Lethia Cunningham died March 13, 1908 and was buried in the Keystone Cemetery. In the 1960's when Keystone Lake was formed, most of the remains and headstones from the Keystone Cemetery were moved to the new Sinnett Memorial Cemetery at Oak Grove, Oklahoma.
