Albert Gross -- Portage, IN -- Albert Gross, age 78, an 18 year resident of Portage, passed away at home Thursday, September 9, 2004. He retired from Inland Steel with 42 years of service as a crane operator. He was a Veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific with the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his brothers, Frank Gross of East Chicago and Carl Gross of Wisconsin; sisters, Mary Anderson of Wisconsin and Emma Martinak of Whiting; four nieces: Shirley (Dennis) Palucki of Griffith, Sandra (Thomas) Thayer of Lakes of Four Seasons, Annie (Fred) Mikler of Munster and Rosemary (Dave) Keener of Colorado; two nephews: Frank Martinak of East Chicago, Paul Martinak of California; many loving great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services Monday, September 13, 2004, 12:00 Noon at the Burns Funeral Home (corner 101st and Broadway), Crown Point Chapel. Interment, Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M.
