Joshua was born in 1858 in Maryland. He worked as a brakeman on the railroad. He was also a member of Oriental Lodge No. 6, I.O.A.N. Joshua died suddenly on the Northern Central Railroad at Mount Vernon on July 14, 1882. Funeral services were held at Jefferson Street M.E. Church. He was initially interred at the Old Methodist Cemetery on Philladelphia Road and re-interred at Oaklawn Cemetery.Please note that all 2777 graves from the Old Methodist Burial Ground were moved to Oak Lawn Cemetery, Eastpoint, Baltimore, Maryland in 1935. The location of the burial ground was consumed by the widening of Pulaski Highway. 1793 of the remains moved were listed as unidentified. Oak Lawn may have no record "by name" of those unidentified individuals.
