Daughter of Thomas E. and E. Louise T. Fischer.

Known as Miss Louise Fischer, she was a teacher at Memminger and Rivers High School. The Rivers High School yearbook of 1960 was dedicated to her:

Her famous quote was "Ours not to reason why, Ours but to do and die". Rivers students instantly connect these lines with Miss Louise Fischer. As a teacher at Memminger and Rivers, she has not taught only Mathematics but she instilled patience in many of us by repeating these lines. On her retirement this year, Rivers greatly feels the loss of a truly dedicated teacher.
