GALESBURG - Deloris Erma McKee, 73,1139 Windcrest Acres, died at 10:24 p.m. Thursday (April 16, 2009) at Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville.
She was born Sept. 19, 1935, in Kewanee, the daughter of George and Mary Declercq Hier.
She married Robert McKee on March 19, 1954, in Cambridge. He survives of Galesburg.
Also surviving are one daughter, Phyllis Arlene McKee of Dubuque, Iowa; one son, Roger Bruce (and Laura) McKee of Oglesby; and one granddaughter, Sarah Jean McKee of Oglesby.
She was preceded In death by her parents; one sister, Laura French; and one brother, Camel Hier.
She was raised and educated in Cambridge, graduating from Cambridge High School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Colonial Baptist Church in Galesburg. She enjoyed big band music.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday (April 20, 2009) in Hurd Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, the Rev. Ed C. Wislander officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday (April 19, 2009) in Hurd Hendricks Funeral Home. Burial will be in Maquon Cemetery.
