His first wife was Julie Elizabeth King they had one daughter Elizabeth and the mother died when she was young then he married again. Second wife Wilma Simmons.

Arthur Allen, 76, of Route 1, Frankewing, died Saturday in Lincoln Regional Hospital after a long illness.
The Funeral was Monday at Higgins Funeral Home. The Rev. Stanley Penn officiated and burial was in Wright Cemetery.

A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Amber and Julie Cantrell Allen. Mr. Allen was a retired farmer and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.
He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Jewell Warden of Kirkland community. Mrs. Carolyn Kaye Holder of Petersburg, Mrs. Laura Agnes Thorpe of McBurg Community and Mrs. Bobbie Jean Stevenson of Frankewing; four sons,. Dennis Lee Allen, Billy Joe Allen, and Roger Dale Allen all of Fayetteville. Charles 'Junior" Allen of McBurg; two sisters, Mrs. Doris Simmons of Nashville and Mrs. Willodean McGee of Fayetteville; three brothers. Brooks Allen of Lynchburg. Henry Allen of Arab.
