Funeral services for Mrs. Kathryn Louella Humbertson, 39, who died Wednesday, February 23,1972, at Meyersdale Community Hospital, of injuries she sustained in a one-car accident February 9, were conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Newman Funeral Home in Friendsville.
Rev. Robert L. Burns officiated and interment was in the Sand Spring Cemetery.
Born in Friendsville, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Bertha Meyers Friend. She was a member of Selbysport United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Harold Humbertson, and instructor at Northern High School, two sons, Timothy Dale and Thomas Lynn Humbertson; one daughter, Tammy Sue Humbertson, all at home; two sisters, Mrs. Laurna Savage and Mrs. Beryl Foy, Friendsville.
The mishap was not reported until last week which had occurred at 7:30 a.m. on State route 42, six tenth of a mile west of Hoyes. Mrs Humbertson was driving a pickup truck south on the highway when the vehicle ran off the west side of the roadway, striking a snowbank and continuing on into a tree. A snowmobile in the truck broke loose and broke through the cab.
