Rudolph Wendling Of Kiel Passes Away Monday. Kiel. -Rudolph Wendling, 53, lifelong resident of 640 Calumet Drive, Kiel, died Monday at St. Nicholas hospital after an illness of several weeks.
Born May 8, 1894, in the town of Herman, the son of Peter and Sophie Schnuelle Wendling, he was married Dec. 30, 1920 to Elsie Kautzer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kautzer, Sr., of Kiel.
Survivors are his wife; 12 children; Mrs. Marie Balde, Glenroy, Mrs. Kenneth (Jeanette) Graf, Georgiana, Jerome, Sylvia, Barbara, Deloris, Rudolph, Jr., Dianne, Nancy and Elsie, all of this city; three sisters and a brother, Mrs. Robert Schmidt of Gillette, Wis., Mrs. William Giese of Milwaukee, Mrs. Herman Tiedge of Wheaton, Ill., Herman of Kiel; two grandchildren. His parents, a brother and a sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the Meiselwitz Funeral home here and at 10 o'clock at St. Peter and St. Paul Catholic church. Interment will be made in the parish cemetery. MR. Wendling was a member of the Holy Name society of the church, and members of that society will recite the rosary at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church in connection with the Lenten services.
