Carl C. Poschwatta was born in Flensburg, Germany on January 16, 1896 and came to the United States in 1900. He was married to Opal Irene Deaton in Jefferson, Iowa in 1927. Carl had farmed near Canby and operated a service station at Albany for four years and owned the hotel at Sisters for several more years. He moved to his present home in 1960 from Portland. Carl was also a Veteran of WW1.
