Death occurs in Spokane Hospital Following an Operation Last Monday.

B. Frank Ferris, a well-known farmer of Idaho County and a resident of Grangeville for the past few years died in Spokane last Monday following an operation for obstruction of the bowels.

Mr. Ferris was taken with a spell of illness on Wednesday of last week and was taken to Spokane on Sunday in the hope that an operation would afford some relief from his trouble. Dr. Stockton went up to Spokane with Mr. Farris and the operation was performed on Monday, but the patient was unable to withstand the shock and died Monday evening.

The body was brought back to Grangeville Wednesday and the remains will be interred in the cemetery here in Grangeville.

The deceased is survived by a wife and two children.
