Born in Clay County, Ky., he resided in Lebanon for more than 30 years.
He was a member of the Church of Christ in Hopkinsville and a member of the International United Electrical Workers, Local 801, for 30 years. He was retired from General Motors' Delco Air after 30 years of service.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Dale, and one daughter, Katy.
Survivors include Jewell, his wife of 43 years; three brothers, Millard and Albert, both of South Lebanon, and Merida of Manchester, Ky.; and four sisters, Ida Rawlett of Indianapolis, Fannie Combs of Manchester, Ky., Jesse Gross of Dayton and Martha Byrd of Lebanon.
Services were held Monday, Jan. 21, at the Stine Funeral Home in Lebanon with the Rev. Kenneth Alexander officiating. Burial was in Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Dayton. -Western Star 25 Jan 1991
