OBITUARY: Services for Laura Mae Tredwell, 83, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Broadway Church of Christ with John B. White, founding superintendent of Lubbock Children's Home, officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven memorial park under direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tredwell died at 11:20 p.m. Monday at St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Pope County, Ark., and was a resident of Lubbock since 1966. She married O.L. Tredwell Sept. 8, 1920, in Pope County, Ark. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Allen of Lubbock; two daughters, Delores Dixon of Lubbock, Rita Loomis of Missouri; five sisters, Mrs. Louis Davis and Mrs. Mabel Burns, both of Lubbock, Mrs. Ora Wilcher of Arkansas, Mrs. Sylvia Pollard of Houston and Mrs. Bennie Allison of California; three brothers, Hurschel Bradford and Louis Bradford, both of Lubbock, and Garland Bradford of Arkansas; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
