Final Rites For Mrs. Ruth Robinson Held Tuesday Afternoon

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Robinson, 59-year-old prominent Quitman church worker, were held at the First Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Mrs. Robinson passed away at her home here at 7 o'clock Monday morning.

Her death came as a shock to the community. She had attended church Sunday evening and had charge of the program at the Training Union services. When she returned home after the services she complained of being ill. Death was due to cerebral hemorrhage.

Rev. J. C. Mitchell, pastor of the First Baptist Church, had charge of the services. Burial was at Sharon cemetery with Cain Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were R. V. Shamburger, C. L. Shamburger, W. C. Jackson, C. V. Armour, H. S. Cathey, and B. L. Johnson.

Mrs. Robinson was born in Freestone County on November 29, 1892. She had been active in church work all of her life and at the time of her death was employed by the Wood County Echo.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Nettie Wilder of Quitman; one son, Homer Gene Robinson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her mother, Mrs. Nettie Kilborn of Quitman; two sisters, Mrs. H. H. McAllister of Quitman, Mrs. Maye Vaughn of Dallas; two brothers, Jim Kilborn of Ft. Worth and Lawrence Kilborn of Irving.
