Ray E. Hurlburt, 48 years old, partner in the Leach & Hurlburt Lumber Co., died today at St. Luke's hospital of heart disease. His home was at 1206 East Thirty-seventh street. Mr. Hurlburt was taken to the hospital last Friday night following an accident at Sixty-third street and Prospect avenue. Mr. Hulburt was not injured in the accident, but suffered a heart attack at the scene, his physician said.

One of Mr. Hurlburt's greatest interests in recent years had been in dart baseball, a game invented by a Joplin minister and brought to Kansas City by the lumberman. He acted as commissioner of the Greater Kansas City Dart Baseball association, arranging schedules among the many church, club and business teams which met in league competition. He was a resident of Kansas City thirty years, was a World war veteran, a member of the Ivanhoe Park Congregational church, and active in Boy Scout work. Mr. Hurlburt leaves his wife, Mrs Minia Hurburt of the home; his father, Ben Hurlburt, Blue Rapids, Kas., and two brothers, Fred Hurlburt, Winnwood Gardens addition and Kenneth Hurlburt, Kansas City.
