Daughter of John Clemer Thornburg Sr. and Arnesta June Wright Thornburg.

Wife of Elbin N. (Buddy) Cahall.

Mother of John James Hickman (predeceased), Skip and Debbie Hickman of Greenwood, June and John Hobbs of Felton, and Meg (Margie) Cahall Ziehmer and Darwin of Magnolia, with whom she lived and who took care of her, Beth Boggs and companion Bryan of Houston, Amy and Kermit Rust of Harrington, Mike and Robin Cahall of Wyoming.

She was raised in Virginia and North Carolina till her family moved to Delaware in 1951.

She graduated from Caesar Rodney High School in 1957.

In her younger years, she worked as a waitress.

She went back to college in 1985 and trained to be a secretary.

She then worked for 10 years at Children's Choice Foster Care Agency and at Client Logic till her retirement.

She was a member of the Camden-Wyoming Moose Lodge Chapter 1546, where she served as Senior Regent as well as many other seats thru the years.

In her free time, she loved spending time with her family, playing guitar and singing gospel and old country songs.

She also enjoyed watching NASCAR. Tony Stewart was her favorite driver.

She was also a member of the Ruby Red Hats of Delaware.
