Elva Lorena Rasmussen, Johnson, Moss, Markwad, age 77, died Tuesday, March 28, 1989 in a local convalescent center. (Murray)
Born October 16, 1911 in Vernal, Utah to Hyrum William and Axie Lavina Johnson Rasmussen. She was preceded in death by husbands, Martin Laurel Johnson, Charles Edward Moss, and Vernon Harold Markwad.
She was a member of the LDS Church. jAmong the outstanding qualities of this beloved woman were dependability, an outstanding cook, love for others especially little children, concern and care for the sick and needy and a deep devotion to her family. She loved the out of doors and was always kind and thoughtful to all animals.
She is survived by a daughter, Cleta Marianne Johnson Fisher, Midvale, Utah, step-daughters, Mrs. Charles (Barbara Lynn) Risbon, Vernal, Utah; Mrs. Deven (Yasman Mae) Paylor, Roy, Utah; five grandchildren; sister Mrs. Ted (Fern) Wilcken, and brother and sister-in-law, Sterling H. and Melva Rasmussen, both of Vernal, Utah.
Burial in the Vernal, Utah City Cemetery.
