She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
According to her family, she loved her family and her bull terrier, Happy. Her family said she loved fishing, camping, bowling, looking at the moon and trips to Cades Cove and Norris Dam with her friend, Levi Bailey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Bright; a grandson, Jason Harold Bright; and a brother and by sister, Melvin Kirk and Millie Bond.
Mrs. Bright is survived by two sons, Kirk Bright and wife, Ellen, of Spring City, and Mark Bright and wife, Margie, of Clinton; three grandchildren, Kelly Amanns, Kris Bright and wife, Liping, and Amy Talley and husband, Adam; and by several great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by two brothers, Harrison Kirk and wife, Nancy, of Maryville, and Cloyd Kirk and wife, Helen, of Athens; two sisters, Audrey Heckert and Dottie Sutton, both of Maryville; several nieces and nephews; and by a special friend, Levi Bailey.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park with the Rev. Dr. Roy Graves officiating.
The family requests that any memorials be in the form of contributions to a charity of the donor's choice.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, at Weatherford Mortuary.
