William "Bill" Dringenberg was born in Glasford, Ill to John and Irene (Herrman) Dringenberg. The Family later moved to Missouri and then came to Kansas in 1917, settling on a farm near Galeburg. Bill farmed northwest of Parsons for 39 years before retiring and moving into Parsons. He also was employed by the Katy Railroad as a machinist for 20 years.
He and Mildred Helsey were married May 22, 1933, at Wichita. Together they had three children. Survivors include: one daughter, Myrna Robinson of Pittsburg: three grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; two brothers, John and Ted of Parsons; four sisters, Myrtle DeCow, May Oler, Minnie Weidert, and Marie Dinville, all of Parsons. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Ann and a son, Alan
