Funeral services for Mrs. Paula Abernathy Rickenbaker, 50, of Cordova, will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2009, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg.
Active pallbearers will be William Wright, Tommy Rickenbaker, Bryan Crosby, Junior Osborne, Paul Parson, Mike Zeigler and Jamie Osborne.
Mrs. Rickenbaker was born Oct. 8, 1958, in Munich, Germany, the daughter of the late Paul Lee Abernathy and the late Laverne Dyches Abernathy. She was a member of St. George Baptist Church and was owner and operator of Headlines Total Hair Care.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Wayne "Skeet" Rickenbaker Sr. of Cordova; a daughter, Angelena "Angel" Maria Rickenbaker of Orangeburg; a son, Donald Wayne Rickenbaker Jr. of Orangeburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.
