Funeral Services This Morning for James Louis Welsh - James Louis Welsh died Saturday in Bishop, California. Funeral services will be held Friday morning, July 9, at Saint Vincent's Catholic Church in Silver City. Survivors include his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. William A. Welsh and two brothers, Harold and William Jr., all of Silver City. Mr. Welsh, a civil engineer, was formerly employed by the Public Service Co. He was well known in Silver City, Deming and Lordsburg, being one of the engineers who surveyed the power line from Elephant Butte Dam. He also was a member of the National Guard Unit in Deming, where he served as a battalion master gunner. The Deming Headlight - Friday, July 9, 1954
