She was the wife of Mr. Gene W. Whipp of 47 years of marriage.
Born June 1, 1925, in Frederick, Maryland, she was daughter of the late John A. and Emma E. Kemp Bagent.
Mrs. Whipp was the former manager of the Widmann's Drug Store of Frederick and was employed at the Weis Market Pharmacy of Frederick working as a pharmaceutical technician until her retirement in 1986.
She enjoyed country music and cooking for her family.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Whipp is survived by her three sons, two daughters, two sisters, seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was additionally survived by her special friend and caretaker.
Mrs. Whipp was preceded in death by six brothers, John, Charles, Irving, Robert, William and James Bagent, and two sisters, Florence Angleberger and Mildred Wetzel.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, July 5, 2006, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Keeney and Basford P.A. Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 6, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Etchison Memorial Chapel, 106 East Church Street, Frederick.
Interment will be at the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
At the families request, a special thank-you to Dr's and the staff of Hospice of Frederick County.
