RAYMOND HOWARD ANTHONY, 82, formerly of Duncan, Okla., died Friday, April 10, 2009, at Yukon, Okla.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, in Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel, Duncan, with the Rev. Lynn Parkhurst officiating. Interment will follow in Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
He was born Jan. 10, 1927, in Cogar, Okla., the son of Jasper R. and Frances Prewitt Anthony.
His first wife, Helen Juanita Akins Anthony, preceded him in death Aug. 9, 1981. He later married Myra C. Metcalf on March 5, 1982, in Duncan. They later moved to Mustang, Okla.
Raymond was employed by Marlow Concrete Company as a cement truck driver until his retirement.
He is survived by two daughters, Gayla Shipley and Judy Anderson of Duncan; two sisters, Ilene Martin of Wellston, Okla., and Faye Garrett of Oklahoma City; five grand-children, Cade Whaley, Kent Gordon, Chad Gordon, Cassie Berthold and Amber Edie; and four great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother and five sisters.
Pallbearers will be Kent Gordon, Chad Gordon, Cade Whaley, Greg Berthold, Carl Lewallen and Randy Grooms.
