Mrs. Mary S. Alsmeyer, 79, of 2209 Oakridge ave., died today at a local hospital after a long illness.
She was the former Mary Showers and was born in Cottage Grove.
Mrs. Alsmeyer was married Dec. 1, 1904, to Charles H. Alsmeyer who survives her along with several nieces and nephews.
She had been a lifelong Madison area resident. She moved here with her husband a year ago.
The body was taken to the Frautschi funeral home where friends may call after 2 Thursday. Funeral services will be held there Friday at 1:30 with the Rev. Bernard B. Bartel, pastor of the First Evangelical United Brethren church, of
which Mrs. Alsmeyer was a member, officiating.
