Leonard Cortez Emberton,70,Tompkinsville,died at the Monroe County Medical Center of a heart attack.A retired farmer,he was a member of the Baptist Church and the husband of Vircha(Walker)Emberton.
Born in Monroe County,he was the son of the late Brack and Emma(Brown)Emberton.He is survived by his wife,Vircha (Walker) Emberton. Other survivors include 3 sons-Paul,Donald, and James Emberton.three daughters-Mary Harper,Geraldine Dugard,and Christine Compton,all of Tompkinsville.There are 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at the Yokley Funeral Home Chapel,Tuesday afternoon September 4,with Evans Leamon,officiating. Burial was in the Hickory Ridge Cemetery.
