Mrs. Alice J. Black, M, Bendersville. died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Riley in Biglerville,
She was born in Harrisburg, daughter of Abner and Margaret Schennefin Hoverter.
She and her husband; John W. Black, Bendersville, had been married 62 years
She was a retired seasonal employee of Knouse Foods Co Op Inc.. Peach Glen; She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Bendersville, the Ladies Bible Class there, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lutheran Home, Gettysburg.
Besides her husband, other survivors include: two daughters. Mrs. Josephine Riley, Biglerville, and Mrs. Mary Davis, Mt. Holly Springs, sons, Lawrence E., Largo. Fla. and George W., Biglerville R. l; a sister. Mrs. Mary Gaunt, Harrisburg; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Dugan Funeral Home, Bendersville, with Rev. Jerome V. Guss, officiating
Burial will be in Bendersville Cemetety.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from noon until the time of services.
