Mrs. Allie Clara Mercer ( Swain ) Buchanan , 79 , died Tuesday morning at the residence of her son after a long illness.

A native of Ware County and a daughter of the late Walter Mercer and Alice Morgan ; also preceded in death by her first husband Charles David Swain and her second husband Marvin Buchanan and a daughter Mrs. Evelyn Winn.

She is survived by her sons:
Charles Eugene Swain of Rincon
Jessie James Swain of Waycross
David E. Swain
John D. Swain .. both of Blackshear
Willie Alton Swain of Atlanta

12 grandchildren
several great grandchildren

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Dixon - Bowen - Taylor Funeral Home in Blackshear with the Rev. Ricky Knox and Rev. Riley Gill following burial into Oakland Cemetery .

Visitation will be received at her grandsons home 5609 Hubbard Lane in Jamestown .
