re the marraige to Mr. McChesney: It was unknown to many in the family until the diary of Fern Wise Gilson was found. It appears that Jane was married for only one day and went to the Fairmont court house the next day to dissolve the marriage. According to Victor Johnson atty who researched that there was a divorce in the Fairmont, Martin co. MN archives.
