Margie Lee Trivette, 88, of Beech Mountain Road, died Monday, July 16, 2001, in a Roan Mountain nursing center after a period of declining health.

She was a daughter of the late David and Ruby Cook Trivette. She was born Jan. 22, 1913, in Beech Mountain. She worked for the Bemberg and North American Rayon plants in Elizabethton, Tenn., and later owned and operated Trivett's Store with her brother, Omer, in Old Beech Mountain. She was a lifelong member of Beech Mountain Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Trivett, and sisters, Louise Oliver, Loy Trivette and Pauline Kelly.

She is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, a sister and brother-in-law, and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral services for Margie Trivette will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Beech Mountain Baptist Church with the Revs. David Burnop and Dennis Church officiating. Interment will follow in Cook Cemetery.

Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home of Newland is serving the Trivette family.
