A new marker was placed at the grave site of one of the first European settlers of the Town of Aurora.


On Saturday's, (7/27/13),78th annual Adams-Tomlinson reunion at Hamlin Park in East Aurora, included a stop at Pioneer Cemetery at Oakwood Avenue, where descendants of Joel Adams placed the new memorial marker on his fading gravestone. Adams, a Revolutionary War veteran, and his sons are credited with being the first white settlers to spend the winter in the town in 1804.
